FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Everything people usually ask before their first call — about who we are, how remote support works, pricing, and data security. Don't see your question? Call us; the consultation is free.
Are you affiliated with Intuit or QuickBooks?
No. We are an independent accounting and consulting firm. Our advisors hold QuickBooks ProAdvisor certifications, but we are not Intuit and we don't represent them. For subscription billing, licensing, or account-ownership matters we'll direct you to Intuit's official support.
What is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor?
A ProAdvisor is an accounting professional who has passed Intuit's certification exams on QuickBooks products. Certification covers setup, troubleshooting, payroll, and advanced features, and must be maintained as the software changes.
Do you support QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online?
Yes — QuickBooks Online (all plans), Desktop Pro, Premier, Enterprise, and Mac, plus QuickBooks Payroll and Payments features.
How does remote QuickBooks support work?
After a short scoping call, an advisor connects through encrypted, permission-based screen sharing. You watch every step, can end the session at any time, and receive a written summary of what was changed.
How quickly can someone help me?
Most calls reach an advisor the same business day, and most common issues are resolved in a single session. Complex projects like file cleanups receive a scoped timeline up front.
How much do your services cost?
One-time fixes and setups are quoted as flat project fees after a free scoping call. Bookkeeping, payroll, and accounting services are flat monthly packages based on your transaction volume — no hourly surprises.
Is the first consultation really free?
Yes. The first call scopes your issue or needs, gives you an honest assessment, and quotes a price. If we're not the right fit, we'll say so and point you in the right direction.
Can you fix QuickBooks error codes like the 6000 series or H202?
Yes. Company-file errors, multi-user (H-series) errors, bank feed failures, update problems, and crash loops are everyday work for our support team.
Can you clean up books that are months or years behind?
Absolutely — catch-up and cleanup projects are among our most common engagements. We quote a fixed fee, rebuild and reconcile the history, and then keep you current monthly.
Can you migrate QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online?
Yes. We plan the migration, move your data, verify balances against the old file, and reconfigure features (like inventory or payroll) that work differently in QBO.
Do you set up QuickBooks Payroll?
Yes — full setup including employees, tax accounts, direct deposit, and benefits, with year-to-date verification if you're switching providers mid-year, plus a test run before your first live payroll.
Can you fix payroll mistakes that already happened?
Yes. We correct paychecks, payroll liabilities, and affected filings (941s, W-2s, state returns) and document each adjustment so the audit trail stays clean.
Will you work with my existing CPA or bookkeeper?
Gladly. We frequently handle QuickBooks-side work while your CPA handles tax filings, and we deliver year-end packages designed for a smooth preparer handoff.
Do you prepare and file tax returns?
We prepare filing-ready books, schedules, and year-end packages and coordinate with your tax preparer. If you don't have one, we'll connect you with credentialed preparers in our network.
What industries do you specialize in?
Construction, real estate, healthcare, retail, e-commerce, manufacturing, professional services, and nonprofits — each with industry-specific QuickBooks configurations like job costing, fund tracking, or POS integration.
Is my financial data safe with you?
Yes. We use encrypted connections, permission-based access you can revoke anytime, and least-privilege user roles. We never store your banking credentials, and every engagement is covered by a confidentiality agreement.
Do you serve businesses nationwide?
Yes. All services are delivered remotely, so we support clients in all 50 states with the same response times.
Can you train my team to use QuickBooks?
Yes — hands-on training sessions tailored to your file and your workflows: invoicing, bills, payroll, reporting, and the month-end routine, recorded for future reference if you'd like.
What information do you need to get started?
For support calls: your QuickBooks version and a description of the issue. For bookkeeping or setup: read access to your QuickBooks file and recent bank statements. We'll walk you through secure sharing on the first call.
What if my problem turns out to be an Intuit account or billing issue?
We'll tell you right away, at no charge, and point you to the correct official Intuit channel — then help with anything on the accounting side once the account issue is resolved.
